El Salvador achieved independence from Spain in 1821 and from the Central American Federation in 1839. A 12 - year civil war, which cost about 75,000 lives, was brought to a close in 1992 when the government and leftist rebels signed a treaty that provided for military and political reforms.

El Salvador is beset by one of the world's highest homicide rates and pervasive criminal gangs. 

ACCOMODATIONS

The team will be stay at a camp facility, located on beautiful Lake Coatepeque, a crater lake known as the

“8th wonder of the world.’ El Salvador is known as the land of hammocks because of the many volcanoes

that cause tremors (feels like you are swinging in a hammock). It is also a revival center.

Day 3-6: outreach

Day7: free day / sightseeing

Day8: leave

TEAM TRAINING

All team meetings are important for the unity and continuity of the team.

Important information will be given out and ministry planning will be discussed so please make

each meeting a high priority. Please notify your team leader if for some unexpected reason you

are unable to attend a team meeting.
